University & Professional Experience:

Graduated from Xavier University in Cincinnati with a BA in Communications, Public Relations
While at Xavier, I took incredible classes in Theology, Women’s Studies, English and Sexual Education that expanded so much of what I thought I knew, and yet somehow validated something in me, a knowing that there was so much more to this human experience.
3 years working at Jack Horner Public Relations firm in Pittsburgh, PA with all-star clients like Heinz Ketchup - remember the purple ketchup? We planned and supported that launch.
14 years at Blackhawk Network as a results-oriented VP Product with experience building and leading high performance product teams, responsible for strategic partnerships and business line growth across my $4B product lines.
1 year as a member of Chief; a private network built to drive more women into positions of power and keep them there. Chief is the only organization specifically designed for senior women leaders to strengthen their leadership journey, cross-pollinate ideas across industries, and effect change from the top-down.
3 years at Accenture specialized in eCommerce, with a focus on Customer Relationship Management (CRM).

For so much of my life, I felt like I was incredibly blessed (and I was).

I had healthy beautiful kids, a great job, amazing friends, 9 out of 10 of the areas of my life were wonderful. I had a little bit of the Murphy's Law mentality - this was all pretty good, I should just enjoy it. No one’s life is perfect all the time.

But the areas that weren’t great didn’t improve or simply fade away. I was avoiding a huge issue and it was getting worse.

I couldn’t fix it and I could no longer ignore it. I had to deal with it. And I did.

And for 5 years, I felt like I was walking through fire, I felt alone. The amazing people in my life simply didn’t know how to support me. I needed someone who had been there.

I had to get really honest with myself about what I wanted and what I deserved and why I had such a big gap between the two in my mind.

I did the freaking work.

And the work was so many different trainings, from yoga teacher training, to breath work, to shamanic energy work, personal development programs and read so many books!

Sometimes we need to feel pain to heal, but we don’t want to stay stuck there.

Challenges, especially painful ones, are invitations from the soul to grow and become our fuller selves.

Our struggles often come from letting the ego take charge. Instead, we should invite our soul to lead and stay present in the now.

Many of us change ourselves to fit in, living a shadow of our dreams. But we don’t have to sacrifice our authenticity anymore.
